Our design activity stems from curiosity about how to solve specific design problems or to decline a particular theme. In this way, it often happens to develop spontaneous projects as well as work on request.
We mainly work on lighting, furniture and product design.
While working with half-processed wood, it often happens to have leftovers that are difficult to reutilize somewhere else. We decided to design a lamp to valorize some scrap wood.
The projects’ refining process in the workshop is a fundamental part of the firm’s creative work. Sometimes a project arises from the need to solve a practical problem in the shop. This is the case of the Marionette Lamp.
Sometimes it’s the material itself that suggests the way to use it. The stands aim to enhance the beauty of American Walnut while communicating with its own function.
This stool is the first born at Cloppus. The global pandemic of 2020 and the consequent periods of quarantines and lockdowns generated the right opportunity for its creation.
