This stool is the first born at Cloppus. The global pandemic of 2020 and the consequent periods of quarantines and lockdowns generated the right opportunity for its creation.
The concept is simple yet rich in interesting details. The legs structure that support the seat is composed of four couples of supports that encounter themselves in the center without touching the seat till the very end. Around the seat, a thin channel recalls the space between every couple of legs. The structure is finally reinforced with an inner element, a “biscuit” that helps redistribute the tension of weights and avoid the legs to open. Some rivets prevent the metal elements from slipping. The stool was jokingly given the “LEM" (Lunar Excursion Module) nickname for its vague resemblance to a spacecraft.
